The Sound Of Silence

The Sound of Silence is een klassieker onder de pop songs.

Gezongen door Simon & Garfunkel in 1964 maar pas echt bekend geworden nadat de producer het nummer had geremixed met electrische elementen.

Die versie uit 1965 haalde de Nr 1 in het Billoard top 100 in januari 1966.

In December 2015 kwam deze versie uit van de rock band Disturbed.

Dat bracht voor veel mensen, en zeker voor mij, dit nummer opnieuw onder de aandacht!

Voor mij mogen er nog meer covers van oude balads zo gemaakt worden…
